Possible ref. letters/nos.
Description
Example

Red letter
Model.
Bloc or Nova
B / V
B=Bloc, V=Nova
if ref is B = Bloc model i.e. 400A or 800A
Green letter
Number of incoming phases
S / D / T / M / N

S=Single pole, D=Double pole, T=Triple pole, M=Multipole.

if ref is BT=Bloc model
with triple pole incoming connections

Blue number
Number of outgoing ways
04 / 06 / 08 / 10 / 12 / etc.
4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc. outgoing ways
if ref is BT06=Bloc model with
6 outgoing triple pole ways.
Brown number
distance c/c in mm between adjacent outgoing terminals
18 / 25 / 30 / 35
18, 25, 30 & 35 mm outgoing Terminal Centres
if ref is BM/06/25=Bloc model with
outgoing terminals at 25 mm c/c.
Turquoise number
Ref for Rating in Amps
8/4/2.5
 Busbars Rated at 800, 400 or 250 Amps
if ref is BT06/25/4C=400A Bloc
Orange letter

Neutral position - 4 pole units only

L or R
L= N on the left, R = N on the right.
if ref is BM/06/25/8HL=Bloc model with
Neutral connection on the left.
Black number
Type of outgoing terminal
C, H or F
A clamp, hole or fork fixing of the MCCB to the outgoing terminal
if ref is VT08/35/2.5F= Nova with a fork shaped outgoing terminal to accommodate a bolt fixing.

Some Non standard configuration models
e.g.  VMYXX(M02+T06+D08)25/2.5LCSi
Generally as standard models but with variations as below.
Black numbers
("XX") above
c/c of incoming terminals on Nova models if not standard 35mm c/c.
18 / 25 / 30
Used with Nova models only.
Used if incoming terminals are other than standard 35 mm c/c for 250A device. Special request only. May not be available.
if ref is VT18(T12)/18/1.5C
= Nova with Incoming TP terminals at 18mm c/c.
Used on Nova only.
Pink letters in brackets
Type of outgoing phases
S / D / T / M / N

S=Single pole, D=Double pole, T=Triple pole, M=Multipole.

if ref is as in eg above = Nova with 4 pole incoming supply & 2 no. M (4 pole) outgoing ways, 6 no. T (3 pole) outgoing ways and 8 no. D (2 pole) outgoing ways.

Blue numbers
Number of outgoing ways
04 / 06 / 08 / 10 / 12 / etc.
4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc. outgoing ways
if ref is as in eg above = Nova with 4 pole incoming supply & 2 no. 4 pole outgoing ways, 6 no. 3P outgoing ways and 8 no. 2P outgoing ways.

Incoming N on left or right.

Yellow

L or R

Nova only

see diagram above

Used if incoming N is not the same position as outgoing N.

L or R

Nova only

L=incoming N on the left

R= incoming N on the right

eg. VML08/18/2.5CR_54_VC1 = Multipole Nova with incoming N on the left and the outgoing N on the right.

The following to be used as a suffix and can be in any order

G(xx)
Millennium unit that provides for a xx mm gap between adjacent outgoing devices
eg. G(20) has a 20mm gap between adjacent devices.

D
Millennium tie unit with busbar connections at each end of the unit

DE
Millennium split unit with busbar connections at each end of the busbar to cater for emergency/backup supply conditions

SI
A unit with incoming connections at the side of the busbar - no end connections.
ex. VM(T04+M2L)25/2.5CSI=Nova 250A, 4 pole incoming connections. 4 way triplepole + 2 way multipole outgoing ways with Neutral on the left. All terminals at 25 mm c/c including side incoming connections.

SO
A unit with outgoing terminals from one side only.
Outgoing terminal & device references - see diagram above

Final number

_103_

c/c of adjacent outgoing devices.

54, 72, 75.5, 81, 91, 95, 103, 105, 105.5 140,

Spacing centre to centre in mm of adjacent outgoing devices.

Final mixed suffix

VC4

Specifies some outgoing terminal in full.   See Nova or Bloc terminal type drawings for alternatives
